Not helping myself
I've recently started up school rowing program because I have wanted to get fitter and have wanted to join rowing for a while now.
I have done it for 2 weeks so that is 8 training sessions and this is my third week.
Over the weekend I have gotten very sick, I have had the flu or as the doctor called it a mild case of influenza B. It just means a bit blocked up in the throats and nose, burning throat, always hot and in a cold sweat, major headaches. Not too bad could be worse.
So even with me being sick I went to rowing training on Monday and I honestly felt like death after the warm up. I felt like I could hardly stand or feel anything at all. So I told my coach that I wasn't coming tomorrow (aka this morning) to the session he said that was fine and he understands.
But now I'm feeling bad because I didn't go to the session I felt better today, my throats and nose are basically back to normal now its just the hot with cold sweats and headaches.
Tonight I have started being really negative about myself saying that I look fat and that I look ugly and I'm not strong enough to row. All because I missed this mornings training, should I be feeling like this or is there another way I can deal with my weight?
Please help or drop tips on how to love yourself. Xx
