Location depression and Ttc
My husband is on special duty and we are stationed at a high threat post in Africa. We've been here a year and it's been hard on the both of us. I am unable to work and much of our life is contained to our 8 unit compound. My husband has always been easy going, funny, and happy but this assignment has hit us hard. We have been ttc for a few months but it is very difficult to get him in the mood. His drive has plummeted due to being so unhappy here. I finally got him to talk to the doctor, get some counseling, and some temporary medication but it hasn't seemed to help. I don't know what to do to make this situation better. We have another year to go and I am not sure how we will do it. Has anyone been in a similar position or have any advice on how to make things better? My family and friends say get a hobby but it's not that simple. There isn't much of a community here to lean on and friends are in short supply....
