*update * .. is this the start of a miscarriage?

I'm sorry for posting this but iv had brown spotting for a week (I'm 5 weeks today) and today it's turned like a period with clots.. is this bad news? I have no cramping or anything and my bfp line this morning was the strongest yet.. help xx

I had the same clot type like bleeding around 6 weeks.. I immediately went to the hospital & they gave me a packet on information about miscarrying, also tested my hcg levels for the next few weeks.. my levels slowly were going up! it was because I am O negative blood type and your body will fight off something unknown in your body, after they gave me a rhogam shot I was all good! Now she is 3 months old! Good luck to you!

This happened to me with my son.. only once in the beginning. I went to the hospital bc it was a lot of bleeding. I had an ultrasound and the little guy was there heart beat was strong. He is 18 months now.

I would see if they will do a beta hcg test to see if your levels are doubling.  It could be nothing, or it could be a miscarriage.  My miscarriage started as brown spotting, then turned more and more red and eventually got as heavy as a period and then they were gone.  It took about a month for it to be over. Just want to be straight up with you.

Hi everyone.. just wanted to thank u for all your support with my 2nd MC last month. The husband and I decided to book a last min few weeks in the sun to try and recoup after it. So we got back 2 weeks ago and I decided to do the Cambridge diet to get fit and healthy and lose some lbs I was carrying extra. I felt so much better these past weeks drinking lots of water and not feeling sluggish etc. Only thing was Iv had awful heartburn and ridiculous vivid dreams and sleeping lighter and thought nothing of it until I just thought I’ll do a random test cos AF was prob overdue (1st one since the MC) and to my utter shock I saw this:     I can’t believe it!!! I’m 6 weeks this thurs according to the app!!!!

So girls it's not good news I'm afraid. I went to the emergency room and they said they are 90% sure it's a miscarriage given what I'm passing. I have a scan for next week to confirm :-( thank you for all ur support and kind words and hope. It really did help x x x

I have had two miscarriages & clots are usually a bad sign. My dr did tell me 'I've been doing this long enough to have been surprised before' when sending me for tests after heavy bleeding but it wasn't good news for me. I would ask for a beta hcg test to ensure your levels are going up. They should be doubling every 48 hours. I truly hope i'm wrong & you proceed with a healthy pregnancy but please prepare yourself mentally for bad news xxxx
