Rocker or Glider?

Just trying to figure out what would be best for the nursery. I definitley want one or the other. What are your thoughts?

This may sound weird-- but one of the best pieces of advice I got was to get a lazy boy type chair. Bc you're going to spend so much time in it feeding and rocking- and likely fall asleep yourself, the recliner is the way to go. 
Honestly I was really glad I did that.

From the ones I've sat in I prefer a glider and ottoman, I didn't like any of the rockers I tried. They just weren't comfortable for me nor did I like the price of them everywhere I tried them. I think you should just try some out to decide what is more comfortable for you.

I had one of the gliders that can lock into different positions. My husband is about 200 lb and sometimes his weight alone would lock it into place. This lead to the ball bearing mechanism breaking and little, tiny, choking hazard beads slowly dropping out onto the floor.  We got it at Costco and since they have the best return policy in the world, we were able to get our money back.  I decided to go with a rocking chair after this fiasco, but they're so expensive for a good, tall one. I bought a chair that fit my needs and we added a rocker and swivel base that we found on Amazon. Regardless of which you choose make sure it is easy to stand up and get out of. I read someone suggesting a recliner and I actually seriously caution against this. Unless you're really tall, it will be hard to get out of with a sleeping baby in your arms. Just go to a store and sit in a bunch of chairs. And again try standing up without any support (imagine cradling a sleeping baby in your arms).

I recommend, if possible, just going to stores and sit in the options to see which is most comfortable. I wasn't sure which one I wanted either, but I went into a babies r us store and sat in about ten different nursery chairs, and the one I found most comfortable just happened to be a glider. Everyone is different!
