Urinary tract infection?

Has anyone else gotten a UTI during their pregnancy? I haven't been feeling great this past week but I've had a lot of allergies. But today I started getting this sharp pain which felt like it was near my cervix and lower back pain. Which at that point I'm reading it could be due to preterm labor and I'm freaking out. So I call my doctor and they come up with the idea of testing my urine since I am frequently using the restroom and it's always way more than normal. So I go in to leave a urine sample and now they are sending off a prescription and I'm worried to start the medication when they haven't even received any results and I've had UTI's before and this truly feels nothing like that. There's no burning or anything just a sharp pain which made me think it was him pressing or my cervix thinning out but I guess my doctor is hoping for the best since I'm only 32 weeks and I'm just worrying about going into labor a little to much. I just don't want to start taking a new medicine when I'm not 100% sure it's even a UTI.
