IF YOU HABE A SCHEDULED C SCETION DO YOU STILL GET CERVICAL CHECKS WEEKS BEFORE?

Ladies I was wondering if my breech baby doesn't turn and I have a scheduled c section will my GYN still check to see if I'm dialating weeks before as they usually do. Asking because I'm 34+2days and really curious .thanks girls.

Depends on the Dr. My 2nd pregnancy was a planned section (1st was emergency) and my Dr did a pelvic once a week from 35 to 39 weeks. I'm 32 weeks with Baby 3 and the exams will start soon.

i was told no by my doctor unless there was something going on (like bleeding). 
but a few days before my c section, i asked for one just because lol

With my last pregnancy the only time they checked was when I was actually having contractions that showed up on the monitor. They said if I started dilating they would deliver

I'm 37 weeks and today they didn't say anything about it, baby is breeched. But last week at 36 weeks they did ask if I wanted checked but I said no. I heard it hurts, so I'm not really seeing the need to put myself through that for no reason. Lol

My first was breech and they never asked my preference, they just did them. With my second I did a repeat CS and at each appointment they asked if I wanted to have an exam. I just got one done at 39 weeks just to see what was going on.  I don't know if their policy changed or if it was just the different doctors. I go to a practice with 8 doctors. Coincidently with my first (2 yrs ago) it was all men and I didn't get the option. With second I was seen my all women at the end.

I requested them because I've been having contractions and wanted to know if they were doing anything.
You can still go into labor with a breech baby, so it helped both me and my midwife gauge where I was at. Since my date was still a week away, I was advised to go into labor and delivery if I had persistent contractions, because they are dilating my cervix.
Breech babies come quicker than normal babies and since their head isn't there, a foot or the cord can come out first and that's no good! Plus, the babies butt being far into your pelvis makes the surgery a little harder.
