acting out?

anyone's 17 mo old on a crazy acting out stage!?  she's not only making messes she's testing me throwing herself back and drawing in things I tell her firm no but I'm just exhausted ! only one child so not sure if it's normal

They're testing the boundaries. As others have said, stay firm and consistent. Boundaries are a good thing. Believe it or not, she wants to know they are there and she will feel more secure once she knows where the boundaries are. I know it doesn't seem like it, but it will get better. Also, use this as a time to talk about feelings and redirect to a positive activity. "I know you're feeling frustrated that you can't draw on the wall, but walls are not for drawing. Would you like to draw on some paper?" Of course this is a lot easier said than done when you're in the heat of the moment. Haha! Good luck!

ugh. normal. and I'm 18 weeks pregnant so some days I have zero energy or patiece for it all. just do the best you can - try to stay consistent and firm, without losing your sh** (which isn't easy). good luck!

Yes! My son makes his sad face 😞 looks around to see where his dada is & cries to get his attention letting him know i am not letting him do something or grab something.
