Macrosomia?

Has anyone every been diagnosed via ultrasound with macrosomia aka the baby is measuring way bigger than it should at that time? I got an ultrasound a few days ago at 32 weeks 4 days and my baby was weighing 5lb 12oz, which the ultrasound tech said is what he should weigh at 35 weeks, not 32. I looked it up and read that this can cause need to be induced early to avoid any risks. Has anyone had this and been induced early because of it? Or did they just monitor you more closely in the last weeks and decide you were okay to deliver when baby decided to come?

ur fine.  my 2 boys both weighed just over 9lbs at birth.  one was 2weeks late, and the other was 1 week early.  unless the doc has a problem with it, I'd say baby is growing just fine 😁😁. good luck

That's about how big my son was around 32 weeks. I had gestational diabetes. they induced me at 39 weeks saying he was going to be over 10 lbs... he was born at 8 lbs 3 oz. Their ultrasound machines aren't always accurate. He was still a big baby, not not near the size I was expecting.  I am glad they induced when they did though because he had an almost 15 inch head.
