I've been wanting another tattoo for years. But could never decide what I wanted. I wanted something to incorporate 2 people I lost in my life, but didn't want any names or dates.

I had my miscarriage on 8/1. That really got me into tattoo mode as a way to remember my lost baby.

I decided on a tree that represents family, and there are 3 birds flying away from it. One for Derek who was like my brother and was killed when I was in middle school, one for my uncle Kevin who died from cancer while I was in high school, and the last one for the baby I miscarried. I will add birds into the tree at a later date when hubby and I are blessed with children.

I am in love with this tattoo. The artist came up with a design that was better than I could have imagined!
