Dual military?

Question

My husband finished his contract with the Marine Corps last year as an E-5, and is now thinking about joining the Air Force. I've been thinking about joining for a while now and since he's thinking about getting back in, serving together would be awesome. We're gonna talk to a recruiter next week, but I'm just curious if anyone on here is dual military and how it is.

We're active duty Navy, and at first it wasn't too bad but I'm over it. I'm tired of being apart. It has stressed our marriage out and now we're trying to have kids but like every time I ovulate and I'm fertile, I'm either underway or he's out of town teaching a class. It has definitely taken a toll mentally on me and I'm just ready for my contract to be over. I'm grateful for what it's been able to provide us, but I think it's time I start a new life chapter.
