Breastfeeding with an inverted nipple?

So... I have an inverted nipple on one of my breasts. It is truly inverted and the other one is normal. I've heard that there is a surgery to fix this, but my health insurance doesn't cover it. I'm wondering if there are any ladies out there that have successfully breast fed with an inverted nipple? I've heard that it is difficult, but is it impossible? Or will I just have to stick to one side (is that even healthy)? Thanks so much for your input!!
