Air Force- kind of long

Kiera • Married April 18th. Trying for second baby :)
Before I got pregnant with my son at 18 my husband was going to join the air force. When we found out we were pregnant he backed out because he said he didn't want to miss anything with the baby. I respected his decision but I felt like the hardships would be worth the potential life we could have with all the opportunities the air force would give him. Anyways now two and a half years later I'm seven months pregnant with our second child. I work as a pharmacy technician and I love it. But he just got fired from his job as pharmacy technician and started working at Walmart which is a huge step back for us financially. I brought up the air force to him again today because if he waits until our second child is six or so months old it will give him time to prepare and Give us time to spend together. But it would be the perfect time to go into Air Force. We are still young as he doesn't know what he wants to do for school, this will give him something to do with his life until he decides. And when he does decide it will help him pay for it. His points still stand : he's afraid of missing something with the kids and he also is really picky with food. Any advice on what to do? Should he go talk to recruitment about his fears? He says he would want to do it otherwise.
