What does effaced mean? I see that word a lot when people are having contractions or whatever but I'm due in 4 weeks and have no clue what that is lol

Answer

Effacement is in relation to your cervix. The baby will drop down in preparation for delivery, in such your cervix will begin to shorten (get thinner) once it's fully effaced, You will then begin to dilate
