How do I use a tampon???

I'm too embarrassed to ask my older sister so I'll ask my online sisters instead! It's also embarrassing because I'm 21 and I can't ask any of my friends because they all use pads as well. But this summer I have HAD IT with pads. I got so sweaty and the glue makes my underwear smell funny and it keeps moving and then I end up messing up my underwear😩😡😡😡 I'm also ALWAYS paranoid, thinking someone can see it through my pants. So, I was wondering if I could get some help from you all?

there's directions in the box but anyway, I usually sit on the toilet OE at least squat a little. your want to make sure your hands are clean and aim the tip of the tampon towards your tailbone. if you have the tampons with the plastic or cardboard applicator (very common) then push the applicator in until your fingers touch your body, and push the bottom of the applicator or let out the actual tampon. then get rid of the applicator. if its in right, you won't be able to feel it

It helps to stand with one foot on the toilet seat until you get used to it. And when I said "tip" of the tampon, I really meant the long plastic part on top where the string is hanging out from. That skinnier plastic part slides down the tube and deep into your vagina, you just have to make sure the larger plastic part is inserted in the vagina fully before pushing the top in.

You insert the tampon by holding it with your thumb and middle finger to the point where your fingers are at the entrance of your vagina and then use your index/pointer finger to push the tip of the tampon all the way in. So, the plastic round tube part goes in and you hold it at the place where the plastic changes shape and has a different texture...at least tampax pearl and platex sport. Hope this makes sense! Then you discard the outer plastic holder and the string should be hanging down in your underwear.
