Ovarian removal and weight gain

Last year this time exactly I had surgery and my left ovary and fallopian tube were removed due to an ovarian tumor. During this one year time pan I have gained 30 pounds!!!!!! I was 158 and I'm currently weighing in at 189, mind you I'm only 5'6. I eat healthy and stay active as I should for my age (25) but it's as tho I keep gaining weight. I'm so uncomfortable in my skin and I hate looking at myself in the mirror. I just want to know if any female has gone through something similar and had tips or anything. I'm literally so unhappy and falling into a depression I feel like. PLEASE HELP
