Shot vs Pregnancy. Do you know?

I had the birth control shot about 2 months ago, and my period is late, although it's never been predictable. It's always a couple days off. But should I worry that I'm pregnant? I read the shot is very effective, but sometimes things go wrong. I just would like some outside insight.

The chance is so low that I would doubt you are pregnant. Period are irregular on the shot, especially during the first or second. Don't even worry about it! Just be glad you don't have to deal with af yet lol!

My cousin in law got pregnant while on the shot. I heard that since u take it every three months that it's a really high and effective does in the first month and by the last (third) month when you're about to get your next shot, the dose is low so your chances are more likely. I also know that it can make your period irregular though so if you're really unsure then you should take a test.

Well, one of my physicians said it will stop my period after like the 3rd shot, which is 6 months. Another said like 3 weeks. Either way, I expected at least spotting. I'll take the test if I miss the whole week. Because my last period was a couple days late. They said it would mess up my period some way and everyone's body reacts differently. I was told it could be no period, spotting, or like she said she had, much bleeding for a while. It's good for me to hear these different experiences so I can get an idea, but its only been about 1.5-2 months so I may just be late from irregularity.

I had a period for 6 months on that shot. I hated it... most people I know who had the shot had the most irregular periods that would pop up out of nowhere super heavy. Mine lasted the whole time I was on the shot. but I would take a test to be sure

If it is the depo shot it stopped my periods completely, actually everyone I know who took that shot had their periods stop completely. Take a test if your worried but it's most likely that your periods are just stopped.
