Anyone using nexplanon/implanon ?

How are you liking it & what are your symptoms? I love it besides the fact that I've had really long periods & my last cycle I had phantom pregnancy symptoms which I read are common with this form of birth control ! Has anyone else had one or both of those symptoms?

I had nexplanon for 2yrs and 5months, I just got it removed 2weeks ago because i want to get pregnant.The symptoms I had was weight again and no period during the time I had it on.

I wished it worked for me since I didnt have to worry about checking or taking something. Unfortunately gave me really bad depression, headaches, acne, and alot of weight gain.

Yes I had implanon for the three years. I didn't really care for it. In the beginning my periods would last for weeks. Eventually I would spot almost every day. Within a year my period died down and I would skip periods for like months. It was really frustrating because it made me feel stressed about being pregnant a lot and I always had to make sure I had a pad or tampons because my period could come at any time. Now I am on the pill and I like it much better. Period is normal.

I've been on nexplanon for about 3 months now. I get lighter than normal bleeding around the time my periods would be at it's heaviest and spotting around the time it would be lighter. I use to cramp like I was in labor, but on the nexplanon I have no cramping what so ever for the very first time. Hopefully as time goes on I'll stop having a period all together,but if not I'm content with the results thus far.

It made me have chest pain so my dr took it out. I liked it for the 30 days it was in (beside the 15lb weight gain during that period). After having the blood clot scare with it, I've just been using condoms.

Aw man! I bet that it's the cause of my acne ! I've had big random breakouts & I blamed them on me wearing makeup too often & not letting my skin breathe. Ugh! I just am nervous to get on other forms of birth control b/c I've had bad experiences with nuvaring, yaz, & the depo 😫 what form of BC do you ladies currently use?
