The "L" word.

My current boyfriend was first to say I love you. I haven't said it back yet. I know every relationship is different and I know I should take my time and do what is most comfortable for me in the relationship. Is it normal to say you love someone after just a few months? I really do care about him and love spending time with him. But how do I know if I should say the phrase or not. I believe in expressing my feelings through actions and he doesn't seem to understand that all too well. It's almost like his feelings are hurt because I haven't said I love you. I see all these new relationships of people saying "I love you" after 4 months. Am I dragging this out too long and over thinking about it?
