Boyfriend wants me to take monthly tests?

We've been dating for a few months and since the beginning he's said that he would want me to take monthly pregnancy tests just in case, but I told him I'm very regular and it would be only needed if I miss a period. I just recently got the IUD and he brought up taking tests again, which I understand easing concerns if my period totally goes away from the IUD. Has anyone else had their boyfriend ask them to do this, or take monthly tests themselves just to ease their mind? I'll do it if it he really wants me to but I've never had a boyfriend ask me to before
