so I will have my merena removed on Monday and I don't even know what I should buy for my upcoming monsoon of a period. pads tampons or those diva cup things? please help!

You might be pleasantly surprised to find your periods have changed. Mine got shorter and way lighter after having been on several forms of bc for many many years. I would start with a variety box of tampons and some light pads.
