We joke that the number 7 is a lucky number in our family. My birthday is on the 7th of 1977 and my husband was born in July (7th month). My brother was born on the 27th. We conceived our first child during the 7th month of actively trying (though we weren't careful at all for the 8 years before that). My son was born on the 7th at 8:07 and weighed 7 lbs.8oz. So.... we are trying to conceive again. It was hard at 34 but it seems impossible at 39/40 now. We have tried ALL the tips, tricks, bells, and whistles but no luck in 14 months now. So this morning my ovulation test showed peak fertility and my husband needed to rush off to work but I wasn't going to see him tonight so I demanded a quickie before he left. When we finished he looked at the clock again and said, "Hm.. that took exactly 7 minutes. Lucky #7?" I know it probably means nothing but I swear my heart leapt and sang. We lost my husband's father this past Sunday and it's been SO hard on us. It would be nice a nice shift in emotion for a new life to begin so soon after his death.
