face up baby?!

so basically my baby was transverse up until last week when she flipped head down 👏🏼 BUT I went to my high risk sonogram yesterday (growth scan for gestational diabetes) and while she is still head down, she’s also facing up! I’m only 33.4 weeks so I know she has time to turn over but I’m wondering if anyone has pushed out a sunny side up baby before and everything was 100% Fine? the tech said it would just cause some serious back labor pains 😳

Hands and knees every night for about 15 minutes can help to rotate a baby. The baby's spine is heavier so letting your belly hang while in a hands and knees position allows the weight of the baby's spine fall forward. Spinning babies is a great resource for optimal positioning exercises. Nothing is a guaranteed fix,  but it can't hurt to try!

I have 4 children already and due with number 5 nov 13th. he is expected to come anytime. But my son who was born Sept 17 2016 was face up most babies turn on own or even during labor. they tried to put me in my hands and knees during labor as I was 7cm and he was still face up but it didn't work. he stayed face up. yes it was horrible back labor but I did with only one shot of a light pain medicine through iv. My labor was 5 1/2hours long. the only thing with face up babies is you can't take breaks between pushes you have to wait til they are ready for you to push and everything is prepped and they said "when you feel contraction push until he is out cause of you stop and he is in North canal he could suffocate" so I had to just do one really big push and he was out. he was also my biggest  baby he was 8lbs 7oz. I wish you luck but most babies turn even if it's at last min.

My daughter was facing up when I was in labour, she wouldn't come down at all. I was 9.5 cm dialated amd she was not effaced at all. The doctor tried for hours putting his hand all the way up inside and twisting her head around and then she'd flip right back over. I ended up needing emergency c section because she wouldn't budge and I was In labour already for 48 hours. They said if I tried pushing I would definitely tear and there would need to be a lot of interventions with helping her get out.

My daughter was sunny side up and she was find. They did have to use the vacuum to get her out bc her heart rate was dropping with the contractions, but she was all good when she made her appearance! I can say back labor is a B... thought I was going to die! I was at 8 cm when they came in to give me the epidural and 10 right after.

my last baby was face up and the back labor was pretty rough as she was moving down. she was 10# 5oz and all natural.  if you do end up with back labor don't let them make you lie flat on your back. try to find a position that takes that pressure off your spine. either on your hands and knees, squatting,  or sitting in a more upright position.
