After a precious miscarriage I'm really anxious that everything is ok. I'm about 5 weeks and am getting very light dark brown stringy discharge when I sometimes wipe. 
I'm trying to be so positive but can't help be frightened it's going to happen all over again.

Like she said, ask your doctor. But otherwise just try to roll with everything. I also miscarried (on Christmas last year) and am horrified at the thought that it could happen again. But all that does is create more stress and anxiety that definitely won't help the development process. Just take some deep breaths to yourself whenever you start thinking about it. Imagine yourself with a beautiful baby in your arms in beautiful place, and hold onto that image. Everything will happen as it should. Good luck girl, hope this helps

Brown means it's old blood. Might be left over from implantation. There's usually nothing to worry about unless it's red. You can definitely call your doctor, but spotting, especially brown is normal. I've had two miscarriages... I know how you feel, but I wouldn't be stressing if it's just brown.
