Im going to the gyno tomorrow to get a lump checked out in my boob. The thing is, I'm 18 and I have never been before so I'm scared they'll check me out down below and will be able to tell I'm not a virgin. My mom is close friends with the doctor I'll be seeing and she'll kill me if she finds out and she'll never let me see my boyfriend again. Can they tell if you've had sex before?

They can tell your not a virgin. But they shouldn't be able to tell your mom.

If you're 18, you're an adult so a lot of times the doctor will ask your mother to wait in the waiting room. It's also illegal for a doctor to talk about the appointment with anyone.

Yes they can tell if your a virgin or not. But they are LEGALLY bound not tell tell anyone else your results. I would ask mom if she can wait in the waiting area while you see her. Just tell her it would be really awkward if she was in the room with you. Wishing you all the best!!

How old are you? There's is patient dr confidentiality. If you tell the dr you don't want your mom knowing then s/he can't tell her regardless if they're friends
