can I go on birth control without my mom knowing?

so I'm 14 and not sexually active but I have a lot of problems with my period and with acne and The chances of this happening are slim but if I ever get myself into a situation I don't want to be in or I get myself into a situation where i do end up having sex I would like to have all bases covered. is there any way that I can talk to my mom about this or just get it without her knowing at my age? also if you're just going to tell me not to have sex at my age you can save your breath because I don't plan on having it anytime in the near future and it's really none of your business when I do choose to have sex.

Why can't you talk to your mom? Tell her you're having problems with your period and you want to see a doctor . The doctor can prescribe the right pills to help you and if you want, can explain it to your mom that it doesn't mean sex and bc pills are used for a multitude of menstrual issues

In NH you can get birth control without your parents consent even as a minor. But I'm not sure about other places. However if you have a good relationship with your mom you may still want to talk to her anyways. Just so she's aware so that if she finds it she doesn't start freaking out and worrying. Plus there are a lot of side effects of birth control and things that she may want to explain (even though a doctor will explain as well). I was 15 when I got on the pill (wasn't sexually active until I was almost 18) and I talked to my mom about it first just to get her opinion and see if she had any personal stories to tell me about what worked for her or things she felt while on it. It also came in handy because I didn't have a license for another year so she was willing to pick up my prescription while she was out (I lived too far away from any pharmacies
