Honestly biting your tongue hurts way more than the piercing mine didnt hurt at all but my tongue got so huge afterwards and i talked funny for a couple weeks lol.

It's more uncomfortable than anything. it hurts for maybe a brief moment and then it's over. I'd recomend it 😊

I agree.. the piercing itself is virtually painless.. but the healing process blows! Def worth it though! I was so nervous to do mine but im so happy i did! Its my favorite piercing along with my nipples!

Also, I ended up taking mine out because I have a small mouth and the ball on under side of my tongue was constantly rubbing my gums. Even after I changed it to a small bar.

Feels kinda like bitting your tongue and last about ten seconds. I used mouth wash without alcohol every time after I ate. And are used sea salt and water before bed. Mine healed in about 2 1/2 weeks.

I used to have 2 (venom bites). I had a hard time only because I have TMJ and it hurt to keep my mouth open. I also got it the day before thanksgiving which was a horrible idea. lol.

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. My friend pinched my tongue with the corner of her nail pretty hard and that hurt, but she let go immediately. The thing with getting your tongue pierced is that the clamp is the motherfucking worse, it makes it very uncomfortable and you have to sit there with your tongue out with a needle through and the clamp still on. It feels monumentally better when the jewelry is in and the clamp is off lol. 
But healing has been the worst part. I’m going on 4 days today and my tongue is still swollen, it is raw from resting between my teeth and my bottom teeth tingle. It’s hurts to eat and sneeze, I talk with a lisp, and I’m just generally uncomfortable. My tongue kinda feels like I ate too many sour patch kids and the sour has burned my tongue, if that makes sense. But, even through all the pain, I love how it looks and I think that so far it’s worth it
