Ok So Any PHARMACY TECHS on here??

I am studying to be a pharmacy tech. I need some help though. I can't remember insurance stuff and have trouble remember brands to generics and what the drugs are all used for.. I use flash cards but idk. any tips will be greatly appreciated!

I work at Walgreens in the process of training to be a Designated Hitter, which is basically just someone who works on the sales floor and goes back to pharmacy as extra help whenever they get busy. The insurance is definitely the hardest part, but the best way to learn that is just being on the job and having experienced pharmacy techs working with you and explaining it. Flash cards are a good way to learn the brand/generic equivalents, I would recommend also making flash cards for which drugs are regular, controlled, and C-2 substances, because the hard copy scripts get filed in different places in the pharmacy depending on their scheduling/classification.

There aren't really any tricks. You just have to memorize them. 🤷🏻‍♀️ flash cards are good. There are a lot of online flash cards for pharmacy tech courses. 
I did a pharmacy tech course and got to the last unit and then dropped out because I suck at math. The meds was the easy part for me because I already knew a lot of them lol.
