Aaron Hernandez's Heirs Sue the NFL

KL

Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that "on behalf of Aaron Hernandez's daughter" they are suing the NFL because he had Chronic Traumatic Encephalitis (CTE)?

It's a known risk. He'd probably been playing football since he was a child. There's no way to prove it was due to the three short years he played in the NFL.

He (and his heirs) were completely happy with the over $50 million the NFL was paying him for re-upping his contract.

But now they are arguing it's not his fault he murdered someone (convicted of first degree murder in 2015) and killed himself. But, apparently, $20 million more from the NFL will make it okay.

I believe he did have CTE. I don't believe that means he wasn't responsible for first degree murder, and I don't see how it's the NFL's fault.
