Why do my friends reject?

I have this boyfriend named Brady and he is the cutest thing EVER! I really like him and I told my friends we were dating and all they could say was “eww” or “why him” and I’m just thinking to myself “why can’t you just be happy for me?” I told them a funny story that happened on Friday about how a accidentally body slammed into a desk and how Brady picked me up and gave me a hug and all friends said “WHY WOULD YOU HUG HIM THATS GROSS AF” and it kinda hurts my feelings... idek if they are my friends... I like him cause he has a adorable smile, funny laugh, hilarious jokes, plays the piano and the bass, sings and plays football.k

That is him... I think he’s perfect just the way he is... obviously my friends don’t think so... Any feedback on what I should do?

Aww haha!! You love who you love! One of my friends hates who I’m with because it’s a girl and she has a curved spine, glasses and braces. But to me she’s gorgeous 😝😝! Just ignore them you’re the one dating them after all not them

They’re not your friends anymore. Anyone who puts you down or your boyfriend for the matter are horrible and you shouldn’t be friends with them.

Honestly I would tell your friends love that the things they are saying are hurtful and real friends wouldn't treat you like that. I hope you two have a happy relationship and your friends either learn to be happy for you or you find new friends.

Honestly, tell your friends off. If you are truly friends they won't mind you telling them that they are being rude and obnoxious. I've had it before and I told them to back off and be nice cause I like him and treats me well. This is a blunt way, but sometimes it works.

You seem so young! But with my boyfriend my friends said the same thing, we have been together for a while now and my friends finally like him we just had a baby a couple months ago :)
