I've tried pampers, huggies and LUVS on my son who is now 8 weeks old. So far I like pampers the best. With pampers there is a netted liner that separates the poop and pee from my babies body and I never had an issue with blow outs or leaking.

The huggies held a lot of pee but everytime my son pooped there was a blowout. And I did not like that Huggies diapers came apart if my son pee'd twice before I changed him. Quite a few times the diaper split at top and the inner material came out and got ALL of him.

I HATE LUVS. They do not hold pee well. When my son pee's, he pee's a lot. LUVS diapers leaked at the top EVERYTIME my son pee'd. I didn't have an issue with blowouts like the Huggies as the double gussets on the legs of LUVS were pretty tight and didn't allow any room for poop to escape and I like that but I can't deal with the diaper leaking urine the moment my son pee's which seems like every 15 minutes. It saddens me, too because that's the brand half my family and friends recommended. However, they all had girls and said they never had a problem with them leaking. So I think my conclusion with LUVS would be they're perfect for girls, but not with boys and that's just my experience.

I've even tried Dollar General brand diapers(we were out running errands 30 minutes away and I forgot diapers and that was the closest store) those diapers held pee pretty well but I had problems with blowouts like the Huggies.

I do have a box of Up&Up; which is the next size up that I can't wait to try because I hear a lot of good things about them.

Do your research very well. Take into consideration of Boy vs girl. Also, don't get more than 1 box of each brand if you plan on diaper stock piling. I have 3 large boxes of LUVS diapers that I got at my baby shower that I either need to sell to someone or try to return to the store and exchange them..
