ask your pediatrician, every child is different. my daughter got the green light at 4 months bc she wasn't gaining weight well enough. within 1 month of starting, she jumped percentiles. we started off wth oatmeal cereal. I mixed about 2TBL with 1.5oz breast milk and she took right to it like a hungry baby bird. then sweet potatoes, apples, simple one ingredient foods only one new food for a few days.

she's 8 months now and feeding herself finger food every day for lunch. she likes black beans, shredded cheese, chicken bits, and scrambled eggs 😁

All of the above. 4-6 months is the norm

I started at 4 and a half months because my baby's doctor said we could. However, I voted 6 months because that's what most experts recommend and because my son took a LONG time before he was even interested in solids. He was probably 6 or 7 months before he actually ate much of anything.
