I’m looking to educate my daughter on topics of race, racial inequality and disparities. I want her to be knowledgeable and aware of things that may affect her individual experiences as a young person of Latin and African descent. Schools in America do not effectively teach about Black and Hispanic history; too much is omitted and relegated to certain times of the year.

Are there any kid friendly books or other learning materials that could help parents to introduce black/Latino history and/or racial awareness and engage with children in an educational manner?
