Are you reading any pregnancy/early childhood books?

I'm going to be a first time mom and while I'm super excited about this journey I just started thinking today "oh wow, I need to care for another human and I don't know how." 😂 are there any books you guys are reading? I know the best advice will come from family friends and the doctor but I wouldn't mind something just to expand my knowledge on pregnancy/birth/bringing home a newborn.

None of my good advice came from family or friends! I learned a lot through books and joining mama circles with like minded parents. Some of my favorite books while pregnant were Mindful Birthing, Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. After my baby was born I loved the Wonder Weeks App and I love following Janet Lansbury and listening to her podcast Unruffled for advice on respectful parenting.

Recommend Meg Nagle 'Boobin all day, boobin all night'... She's a lactation consultant and talks a lot about what normal sleep patterns and feeding patterns and the variation for normal newborns. It's only a little book and easy reading, but very reassuring about 'normal'

I started reading and listening to the podcast, Common Sense Pregnancy. It's written by a certified nurse midwife and it's eased my worries about many things. I'm getting a lot out of it!
