How long does it take for stitches to dissolve?

Had a baby 16 days ago. Had two small tears I think second degree. When do they go away? I feel a strange heaviness near my clit. Sorry tmi. Not sure if that's normal but I know the tears are there. So idk!  Anyone have similar experience.

you can expect to feel weird for a few more weeks. it can take four to six weeks for them to dissolve but even after they do, you may still feel odd for a bit

I had to get 3 stitches and I believe they went away within 2-3 weeks. The numbing spray and the spray bottle where the best things I could have been given at this time . Feel it with warm water and it’s amazing. Then I used the numbing spray afterwards.
