sudden allergy to my dog?

I'm 8w2d pregnant and for about a week now I've been breaking out in hive like bumps all over my body and it seems to happen when I'm around my dog but I've never had this issue before. I've been around dogs my whole life. could my pregnancy suddenly make me allergic to my dog? has this happened to anyone else?

It hasn't happened to me but you can always become allergic to something that has never bothered you! We had dogs my whole childhood growing up and 6 years ago my mom just suddenly became allergic to their dogs. She got tested and they had to give the dogs away and had to do  a deep clean in the house! It's very possible to develop an allergy at any time.
