Cry when you get yelled at?

Okay so whenever my boyfriend yells at me, raises his voice or even just gets mad at me I cry and I don’t even know why but I just automatically start crying can anyone relate?

I am this way. I have been forever. It would happen when my parents raised their voices at me. Now when my boyfriend does it. He doesn't or hasn't ever really yelled at me like fighting. But say he was yelling about a situation (like when I was walking our dog and he slipped the leash), I would cry when he yells. I hate it so much. This happens when I get frustrated too. I hate it. Because most of the time, I'm just mad. But I'm crying so I look like a little bitch. When really I want to punch people lmao

Hell if someone looks at me with disappointment I cry. I cry at the THOUGHT of someone being upset with me. It's crazy, I'm super emotional. But at the same time I'm like "who gives a shit if they get mad? I'm human, I make mistakes. Who cares if they are upset with me?" & a second later "oh yeah, I care."

But no it's not just you. I've always been the same way too. Even the slightest raise of a voice can set the tears loose. And the harder I try not to cry the more I cry 😭🤷🏻‍♀️

I get that way too, for the same reason. But I was verbally abused growing up (my dad loved to scream at me), and have mild PTSD from that. Before even just loud sudden noises would set me off. Now it's just yelling.

no. because as soon as he would yell at me, i would leave his ass. tell him to TALK to u like a human, not yell like an animal. if he doesn't get it, hun, that's called mental abuse. u crying,  means hes breaking ur spirits. its mental abuse amd u should not tolerate such a behavior.

im the same way. my husband doesnt yell at me but other people have and I get like this. for me, i have an anxiety disorder and it feels like a panic attack when that happens. idk why I'm like this, my parents didn't necessarily yell at me excessively. and I don't do it because I'm trying to get sympathy or attention, altho that's what a lot of people think.
