Are there any ways to prevent beard burn?

Whenever I make out with my boyfriend, my chin gets all red and irritated from his scruff. All my friends say “just tell him to shave” but I like his facial hair! So, anything to help with irritation / prevent it?

ask him to use conditioner on his beard if it is that scruffy. they make beard balm i think is what its called. my SO uses it and makes it soft. anyway, also maybe try coconut oil on your face? idk.

If it's a close shave aka 5oclock shadow, not much you can do. If his beard is grown and irritates you, ask him to wash it or at least shampoo it in the shower. I had that same problem with my husband but him washing it totally helped.
