Pregnancy after a NTD

I lost my first pregnancy at 22 weeks due to a severe neuro tube defect. It was absolute hell. Has anyone else experienced a neural tube defect & then got pregnant again? How long did you wait before trying to conceive again? Any advice/ insight is appreciated!
