hey guys I'm 17 and sexually active and since my parents like to pretend I'm not and won't put me on birth control, I decided to make an appointment myself. I'd never been to an OB/GYN so I'll be doing all this new stuff by myself for the first time, and to be quite honest I am scared. After researching Birth control options I decided the mirena iud was the best option. However I've heard it hurts, and I just want to hear stories, tips, and opinions from you guys about the iud and share any experiences with it if you like, including the procedure as well.
