How long does baby eat?

Question

For those who are breastfeeding, how long does your baby nurse each feeding? I swear mine would lay there forever if I let him!

I have had babies that nurses 5 minutes, one side and I had one who wanted to go 45 minutes lol! They're all different and regardless of what you may be told, time frame does NOT determine how much they're getting.

I'm the beginning it was like 30-40 minutes 😩 Now she's 8 months old and it takes 10-15 minutes.

I am with you - my son would hang on there all day and night if I let him! We spend about 20 minutes total if we're in a hurry, but if we're just hanging around the house with nothing better to do, I will let him nurse 20 minutes per side if he wants.  FYI my son is 16 weeks and from what I've read, this is more time than it's supposed to take.

In the beginning 45min to an hour each side...and she always ate from both sides. Now maybe 5-10 min per side (unless shes sleepy) & she doesn't always take both sides

It varies. Usually 10-15 minutes but before bed, he'll eat for longer (about 30 minutes).
