A "taste" in my mouth!?

I cannot describe this taste for the life of me. It is almost like a sour metal taste but not metal. Oh my lanta it is the most bizarre experience I've ever had during pregnancy. I have to constantly brush my teeth/tongue, otherwise I feel nauseas and have a hard time eating. I never had this with my other two! Is anyone else going through this? I'm bringing it up to my OB on Wednesday. I hope she doesn't look at me with crazy eyes

It's absolutely awful!! With my daughter it would come and go but this pregnancy it's 24/7!!! I'm hoping it'll ease up once I hit the second trimester

I had it 24/7 with my daughter for MONTHS. On top of that, brushing my teeth made me puke. I started gargling with baking soda and water several times a day and that was the only reprieve I found. Good luck!

I thought I was crazy! I have been having the EXACT same taste in my mouth. To make it sound even weirder, it's almost like it triggers something and connects to my stomach and just makes me feel nauseated all the time. It takes all the goodness and joy out of food 😫 so even when something actually sounds good, after several bites I don't even want it anymore. I'm constantly brushing my teeth, and chewing minty gum or sucking on peppermints because I'm afraid it's giving me bad breath. Not happy others are having this issue, but happy to find out I'm not crazy lol. Let me know if you find anything that helps!

yes me! had it with my first pregnancy and this one too. lol for the longest time I couldn't figure out what I ate with such a gross after taste. then I talked to my doctor about it and she said it's normal

i had that with my first pregnancy. it was awful! it went away 2nd trimester. good luck.

Are you taking prenatals with high iron? Usually the iron content can make you have that metallic taste in your mouth but it's definitely worth bringing up to your OB.
