Is it sexist to think periods are gross (as long as not expressing the opinion)?

I think it isn't sexist because it's a bodily function. Like shitting a peeing. But I want to know if I'm looking at this wrong.

I have a period and still think they are gross cause I'm squeamish about any blood or shit that should stay inside of your body
And then there's people like one of my guy friends who doesn't find the subject at all uncomfortable when my girlfriends and I discuss it and would probably handle it better than I do 😂
There's nothing wrong with finding them gross or not, so long as you don't make assumptions about women in general because of your opinion
