Change your ways for one student? (Read)

Recently at my place of work we've had the discussion about having to accommodate for students of different religious backgrounds.

In this particular case, it's about a family of jehova's witnesses who are arguing that we should not sing other students happy birthday, celebrate Halloween or Christmas etc, because of their religious beliefs. This is 1/25 students in 3 classes. Would you change your ways to accommodate to the one student?

Personally, I don't want to not acknowledge my students birthdays (6-8 years old) just because of one person. They are so excited and I feel rude not at least singing to them as a class. I would never make the student who shouldn't sing, sing but the parents don't want us to sing at all. I just think it's asking too much of a public school system.
