Menstrual Cramps After/During Sex

Has anyone every experience menstrual like cramps after or during sex? It happened to me the other day and I wonder what could have caused it. That never happened to me before. But I have had horrible cramps in the past. I'm suppose to come on my period this week so maybe it's PMS but it's odd that I had those cramps during sex.
