Opinions on baby shower needed !!!!

Okay so my 2 aunts and sis in law are planning my baby shower. I just started a new job so right now I'm training tues-satirday 7am-3:30 pm. Starting June 7th my schedule changes to working everyday except Tuesday and Wednesday hours are 9am-5:30pm. My mother is having a stem cell transplant 4 hours away and may or may not be able to attend if before my set schedule kicks in. My sis in law is not informing me we have to wait til she gets home and me come straight there to be at my shower by 7pm (too late in my opinion and 1.5 hour drive from my job as well). I told her that I've already discussed it with my mom that if she isn't there it is fine bc we agree we'd rather her be well for birth than wait for her to get home. Is it wrong for me to complain about when they throw the shower?
