What does implantation feel like?

I'm 9dpIUI and I just had shooting/pinching pains on my left side. It would hurt then stop and then hurt again. This lasted maybe five minutes. Never felt this before. Thoughts?

Answer

I knew as soon as I implanted. I never had any spotting, but I felt the pulsating in my uterus unlike anything I had ever felt before. I don't get cramps ever and I was a little crampy too. I also had a pain in my right side only sometimes like when I coughed occasionally. But the really big dead giveaway was my breasts got hard. They didn't hurt anymore then normal till after my BFP but they were very firm, which was very odd. Two days after all that started I got my BFP. Now I'm 8 weeks and 5 days. With a very strong heartbeat and great pictures.

Answer

For me it was moderate cramping. It felt similar to af cramps, but also different. I didn't really know it was implantation until I got my bfp a week later although part of me at the time was thinking "hmmmmm."
