On Saturday evening, my 21st birthday, my husband and I surprised our closest friends and family at our engagement party by getting married!

It was a small event, just 35ish guests but I wouldn't change it at all. Our most important friends and family were there and it was such a relaxed night. I am 30wks pregnant but felt so beautiful regardless of my belly.

So many people had guessed what we were doing beforehand as we have had a huge year. We met on tinder in December, started dating in February, fell pregnant in March, bought a new car and house in June, got engaged in August, and moved into our new place just one week before the "engagement party". But others were completely surprised and had no idea.

If anyone is thinking about having a small wedding, do it! It is so much less pressure. Still a bit stressful, but we had a great venue with a wonderful event organiser and both sets of parents knew, as well as my sister and my partners best mate (our bridal party).
