Should this be allowed?

Ok so currently in the country I’m living we are having some controversy over changing part of the constitution. I’m not going to go into details of it as it’s not really that important and I don’t want to start a separate debate about it.

Basically what happened was one side who is anti changing this particular part of the constitution was set to hold a meeting in a hotel to gather people and talk about their experiences on the matter. That however got cancelled because the people who want to change it put so much pressure on the hotel not to host it. There was no law or government involved in them not hosting it. But they said due to public pressure they don’t want to host. Now the anti change have a new place to meet and the want change people are again trying to gather people to put pressure on the establishment to not host it.

Should they be allowed to do this to stop them meeting? Or since they are both trying to exercise their freedom of speech is it ok and up to the establishment to hold their ground.
