Note To Self-Stay Off of Dating Blogs

I can be a bit shy when it comes to opening up to my man. It's not him, it's me I've had a horrible dating past and it makes me a bit fearful of talking to him when I'm having an issue. Sometimes he will look at me, ask me what's wrong, and if I look at him like I'm caught will tell me to use my words, it's embarrassing but effective. He actually is a wonderful and amazing partner, patient, incredibly supportive and caring (my only issues are we don't have enough sex for my high drive and he works two jobs-im proud of him for working so hard, but it's hard only being able to see him once a week). Having these issues I decided to find blogs and articles on how to be a better communicator, needless to say there are 1,000s of them. after reading a few I started to get panicky and anxious because they mostly said unless you try to manipulate him or by being yourself you'll lose him, you must be a cookie cutter woman. We have been together more than long enough for me to know this isn't true, but in the moment my inner 16 year old girl came out and texted him all this stuff asking I was too this or that and how can I make myself better for him? His response was not to change, I'm already perfect and there's nothing wrong with us, he's not going anywhere. I still would like to work on that part of myself so if anyone knows of legimate blogs or websites I would love to know, but other than that I'm telling myself to stay off of them.
