I know every baby is different, but what’s the general weight gain for a new born. My son is 8 weeks today. He was born 7lbs 12oz, lost more than 10% of his weight (due to jaundice and being in the NICU). He got down to 6lbs 15oz. After 2 and a half weeks got back up to 7lbs 14oz. At his one month (he was almost 6 weeks) appt he was 8lbs 14oz. He goes back in 2 weeks. I was curious what he weighed, so I jumped on the scale with him, and he’s 9lbs 8oz. I know that’s not 100% accurate , but I have no other way to weigh him.

He’s breast fed, but we supplement with formula if need be, doctors orders. We have been supplementing with formula from the beginning due to his low weight.

But I’m curious how much a newborn should weigh by their 2month appt??? Or how much he should gain weekly..
